Making Peace With Sacramento
Do you live in a place that you really don’t like? Do you often wish you lived somewhere else? Have you dreamt of the day when you can retire and move somewhere else? If you answered yes, then we have something in common.
However, when I heard that my uncle had said he can love living anywhere in the world, I decided to challenge myself to discover what there is to love about Sacramento.
This page reflects some of my findings.
This year, I’ve been taking stock of what there is to appreciate and like about Sacramento. As an artist, I’ve also started collecting images that reflect the beauty of Sacramento and surrounding areas. These exercises are giving me an appreciation of Sacramento and helping to refine my artistic eye. It’s sort of like learning to make art out of found objects…only the area and media are broader.
If you’ve been like me, harboring a bit of resentment about the area you live in, I invite you to consider joining me in the quest for beauty in your home town.
